Professional Orientation
I help business professionals from both small and large businesses and organisations to communicate in English across boarders.
Intercultural teaching
I am an Accredited Lecturer in the Geert Hofstede Dimensions of Culture by ITIM International (The Institute for Training in Intercultural Management) in Helsinki..
Strong teaching experience
I have more than eight years of teaching experience, and I qualified in the UK with a CELTA course (Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) and also with professional teaching qualifications.
My previous Professional Life
I have over 30 years in the British Police Service and was involved in many investigations of culturally sensitive operations. In addition to police work in the United Kingdom, I also participated in international operations in Sri Lanka, Thailand, France and also in police operations in Japan. I served as a Police Search Coordinator and Police Search Advisor, work that involved many complex and high profile operations, investigations and disasters. I worked with a wide range of people from all walks of life, from government officials to business leaders and from senior executives to activist communities. During my police career I received numerous commendations for outstanding work from Senior Police Officers, Chief Constables and the Home Secretary. I also volunteered as an English teacher for immigrants and foreign refugees in the UK.
BTW - It's not all work for me.
My hobby is researching the many aircraft that crashed in the Beaujolais during the Second World war. I have a blog all about my research and fundraising for the International Bomber Command Centre. If you want to find out more - please follow the link.
